A H300 GA ME STRIKE, SPLIT, SPARE, these are several words that mean very little to most of us, but to a large group of bowlers these words are the joys and sometimes sorrows of their lives. To us just hitting the pins would be a task, while a bowler's main objective is to disJ member the formation in two, possibly one, attempt. Again, to most of us bowling is just another sport, but to Brother Huck and the 1976-77 bowlers it was an en- joyable experience in friendly competition.

THE UPS AND DOWNS OF INTHAMURAL BASKETBALL Intramural Basketball was a success again this year. With most homerooms entering, the school had yet another excellent program. Throughout the season competition was tough and spirits were high. Of course, the season had both dull and exciting moments, but for the first time in the program's history, the faculty team was defeated. The Intramural Referee's Association il.R.A.i, anchored by Mr. Luby, Mr. Moriarty, Mr. Martin, and Mr. Seputis worked hard, game after game, and remained a vital part of the Intramural Basketball program. ,, . . ..,,. ..--f 1 -1....,. WRESTLING The 1976-77 school year marked the beginning of a new sports program at Marist. For the first time in its 14 year history, wrestling was offered to underclassmen. Both teams wrestled exceptionally well. Most of this success was due to a few key players for both teams. On the Freshman level, impressive victories were scored by such people as Kevin Ryan 1105 lb. classy and Phil Wojiak lheavyweightl. The Sophomore team was anchored by such people as Mike Hurley 4167 lb. classy, Jim Dempsey 1126 lb. classl, Dan Hanson 4155 lb. classl. These players will be the foundation for a strong varsity team. Due to the impressive student response and the remarkable success of both the Freshmen and Sophomore teams, the program will be expanded to a varsity level next season. . X , W
