l T BAND TOURS DIXIE l Marist High School boasts what it believes to be one of the best high school bands around. Along with its usual fantastic Christmas and Spring concerts, this group of talented musicians won a first place award for its performance in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Band conquered the South with a tour of three Southern states, which included a concert at the Alabama State Capitol. The concert was followed by a reception hosted by Gov. George Wallace. T The Band has worked very hard throughout the year, wvith practices every morning and frequent long after- lnoon sessions. We think it was worth it. firQgQ.3LE K - v T . . gx... , l . 1 ,. ,gg at W if ..,... ,X 'fn 1,4 Qs,-.s.... . .ip -- ii' - ,... . 1 ' x,,, , A A, , , M... , M 'Q , V, ,.... ON THE WARPATH IN '76 -RN The gridiron of Marist witnessed exciting victories and uncertain defeats this season. Because of the fact that many of the team's ex- perienced and inspiring players graduated, it underwent a series of radical changes. In the final days of August, the team was prepared for what would prove to be an in- teresting season. The team remain- ed spirited throughout the season, even after the heartbreaking final- second, one-point defeat, and clos- ed the season in a respectable third place, with victories over St. Patricks, Carmel, and St. Joes.
