A WORD OF THANKS O8 lt's finished! A phrase not greatly appreciated by someone with no association with the Yearbook. The completion of this book took the combined talents of a great many people. To them I owe my gratitude and deepest thanks! lt was these people who made my job of editor as pleasurable as it was. To the Marist High School students, without whom this work would have been impossible. To Root Photographers for their dependability and faithful service. To our Photography Club for the best pictures we have ever had. To Ron Kil whose fantastic art work inspired us throughout the book. To Inter-Collegiate Press, especially Ray Gilgenbach who gave so generously professional advice whenever it was needed. To the Marist Faculty and Administration, whose support and encouragement were unparalleled. To Bro. Dominick Pujia and Sr. Dorothy Ann for puttii up with me, showing me a new way, and giving their time and patience. And, of course, to the 1977 Plainsman Staff who put their all into this book to make it the success it is. Thanks again. lt is finished, but the memories and good times it will rekindle in the future are just beginning. I hope we have captured the Redskin Spirit for you and that you will treasure it forever. l wish the best of luck to next year's staff. A final Thank You, 4 Laws-72 If

In g Memoriam See what love the Father has bestowed on us in letting us be called children of God! Yet that in fact is what we are. The reason the world does not recognize us is that it never recogniz- ed the Son. Dearly beloved, we are ,God's children now: what we shall later be has not yet come to light. We know that when it comes to light we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he ls. 1 John 3, 1-2 Photograph by Bro Vincent Colella, F.M.S. 207 S
