Science Students Search for Answers L AL' P1 Mark BeDell takes a closer look at the sanitary landfill on the conservation field trip. ,if Dr. Franklin takes one last look before the bus leaves on the biology field trip. Students in the science courses this year looked at the world today, and speculated on what it would be like tomorrow. The curriculum included general science which dealt with matter, energy, transportation, the earth, and man's place in the universe. Laboratory information was presented on the new overhead projector. The advanced biology program was revised to provide one semester of conservation of resources. Field trips to Mt. Vernon experiment station and the Aurora sanitary landfill were made in order to see situations and control methods being used to make our enviornment more productive. l Conservation agent Jerrold Crowder explains the soil saturation level in an open earth trench.
