PREFACE We believe our school experiences will soon become faint memories unless we have something tangible to remind us. Perhaps the pages of this little book- let containing pictures and narrating the events of the school year of 1957-58 will help perpetuate memories that will grow dearer as the years slip away. Anyway we are sending the Marion Recorder out with the hope that you will enjoy it as much as wc have enjoyed doing it. W The staff and sponsoring teachers wish to express thanks to all that have helped in any way make this venture pos- sible. . if La., !.970 . 2 -eff y X ,Ni , N 'T' T1 I 7. The morning was spent in look- ing at antiques which were in the various store windows. , The parade in the afternoon was nar- rated by Bob French, The Spectator, who was on the balcony of the Morris Hardware Store. He described the various floats, bands, and other sights which were in the large parade as it marched through the main streets of Malta and McConnelsville. In the evening a very worthwhile and interesting pageant was put on by the boys who tried to follow through the trail of the original pioneers. After the pageant there was a beauti- ful array of fireworks, which lasted for about a half hour. I am sure everyone will agree that their time was well spent in attendance.
