Major James Alfred Jackson, Jr. DE DICATIO As the Head of the Marion Institute Department of History, Major James Alfred Jackson, Jr., has meant much to the cadets who have been associated with him during the past nine years. His closeness to his family has spread a similar feeling of closeness throughout the brigade. His interest in teaching has molded his classes into valuable combinations of seriousness and humor which are praised by students, parents, and fellow teachers alike. His desire for scholarship has provided the drive needed to change the dream of the Scholars' Supper into a reality. His work as a merchant has transformed the book store from a simple supply store into a shop where a cadet can buy almost anything from paper to stereo tapes. Major James Alfred Jackson, Jr., is a family man, a certified Master Teacher, a salesman, and most of all, our friend. To him we are proud to dedicate the 1970 edition of the Orange and Black.
