The 1959 Orange and Black covers the events of this year from the start of school back in September of 1958, and goes right down to the wire of Commencement on 17 May, 1959 .... In a real sense, this book is as complete a picture of the year as we have been able to make it. Without the help and direction ot our supervisor ,Colonel J. N. Cunningham, we would have had a rough time producing this book. So, we say, Thanks, Colonel. -R. G. Williams, Editor. Bentley, Hunter, Aycock . . . Max was a real workhorse on this year's book, and Bentley gave valuable aid, too. Hunter did a very fine iob with getting the company snaps and' setting up their arrangement. C. E. Lee, J. G. EDITOR-IN-CHIEF R. G. WILLIAMS The i959 Orange and Black Staff have all endeavored to produce for you, the Corps of Cadets, a yearbook that will give you much pleasure and enjoyment. The format of this book has been changed greatly this year, and we sincerely hope that it pleases you. We want the Cadet Corps to know that the production of the Orange and Black has been in the nature of a creative undertaking, and we have great pride in setting up this record of l959 for your pleasure.
