The Skirmisher is a splendid school newspaper, and the T958-59 issues have been unusually good. We compliment the Staff of the Skirmisher and the Supervisor, Nlaior Woodfin, for the efforts made toward giving the Cadet Corps a newspaper to be proud of. The members of the OXB Staff know much about what it takes to publish something, whether newspaper or yearbook. The M '. -Skirm- isher is consistently kept on a high level, and we are expressing here a warm vote of Thanks to the Skirmisher Staff on the part of the whole Corps of Cadets. LEFT TO RIGHT: Cochran, Meyer, Little, Anthony, Hooper, Letscher, Oden. The Smarter Staff deserves cornmendation for their efforts to supply the Corps with a short weekly sheet filled with running-fire comments of interest to all. Being new and untried, Snorter was in developmental-experimental stage all during second semester, However, we feel that Snorter should go ahead next year and continue to fill in the gaps between issues of the regular school paper. The idea behind this weekly sheet is original, good, . . . we hope it will be continued and improved in the course of the vear i959-1960. . .2 amoua Wife J61i9Af5 N. ugh Kincaid, Commander few, .' ss. :arse wif The White Knights, famous throughout the South for their ex- cellence in precision drill, is one of the top drill teams in the na- ation. There is always some keen eye, whether we know it or not, scrutinizing the dimensions not only of our physiques but of our minds, abilities and characters. Your training at Marion has been designed to improve the dimensions of both your mind and character so that when you graduate it can be said that here stands a Cadet foursquare to the world, ready and eager to shoulder the responsibilities which his particular talents and abilities qualify him to assume. We measure Cadets for uniforms. Our customers measure us in their appraisal of our ability to execute a uniform contract satisfactorily. It will be a never-ending effort on our part to keep our measurements good in the eyes of Marion. We salute the Graduating Class and wish you all Godspeed in your chosen field of endeavor. IHVI G L.
