Very early in the football season, because of Captain l-label's illness, Colonol Murfee plugged in and took over as coach for the Varsity. We think he enjoyed it .,.. Coaching was his first line of defense years ago ,.,. The Varsity football schedule was rough . . . turn back and have a look at it .,.. Yet the boys lived up to their name, The Fighting Cadets , , . Major Miklos was Colonel Murfee's right-hand man with the Varsity football team, started a fine season as Coach for B Basketball , . . and had to turn it looses Uncle Sam took Colonel Reeves to Austria .... So Major Micks. . , you know , . . had to eye the sticks. . , . Capt. Spicer, B Football and B Baseball coach, had a fine season with both outfits-lots of wins, few losses , . , Major Fix, B Basket- ball coach, did a fine job Same thing goes for the crack tennis team.
