LEFT TO RIGHT: Vince Tharp, Janel Klose, Tom Ingram, Pat Wood, Vickie Vajnar, and Roger Jackson. The cold Halloween night of October 31 took on a special meaning for three lovely Homecoming Queen candidates: Janel Klose, Vickie Vajnar, and Pat Wood. The Homecoming festivities began with a hard-hitting battle against the Peabody Warriors. Excitement mounted as the half-time ceremonies drew near when Nancy Olsen, 1968 Homecoming Queen, would reveal her successor. The Marion Warriors presented Queen Pat and her attendants with a 26-16 victory over the Peabody Warriors. The theme of Sunrise, Sunset was beautifully presented at the Homecoming dance on November 1. An array of bright sunshine colors and decorative murals created an atmosphere of warmth and pleasure. M. H. S. students, faculty, alumni, and citizens of the community delighted in the music provided by the Downbeats. The dance honoring Queen Pat concluded a most memorable event.
