Dedication The members of the annual staff are proud to announce that the recipient of the 1969 Marion High School Warrior dedication is Mr. Kenneth Forsyth. During the past two years, Ken Forsyth has become well respected and admired not only by the stu- dents of his own vocal music department, but by all students and faculty in the Marion school system. Mr. Forsyth earned his Bachelor of Music Degree at Southwestern College and he received his Masters Degree from Wichita State University. As a member of the high school and elementary school faculty, Ken has organized many vocal groups including the Swing Singers, Advanced Choir and a number of smaller ensembles and glee clubs. He has directed a senior play and the musical My Fair Lady” among countless numbers of programs and concerts. In preparation for these events, Mr. Forsyth could be found doing everything from building sets, typing programs and making quick trips to Wichita for lights or music, to actually directing the production on opening night and taking the final bow for the many hours of practice and hard work. As a citizen of the community, Mr. Forsyth directs the Valley United Methodist Church Choir and teaches a Junior-High Sunday School class. As a witness for Christ, Mr. Forsyth shares his Christian love with all people he meets and knows. Marion High School and the community is indeed fortunate to have such a talented and self-giving man as Ken Forsyth. For these reasons and many others, the annual staff feels privileged to dedicate the 1969 Warrior of Marion High School to Mr. Kenneth Forsyth. 2
