The Student Council is composed of the most capable repre- sentatives from each class and club. Decisive matters, pertain- ing to the government of the student body are brought before the Council. This year we attended the Student Council Conference at Haven. Other outstanding projects were selling sweat shirts, sending a representative to a Student Council camp in Oklahoma, installing a coke machine to be used by the students, and award- ing honor pins to the honor students. The Student Council was headed by the following officers: Julie Wooldridge, President; Thad Meierhoff, Vice-President; Eileen Pavey, Secretary; Ron Oelschlager, Treasurer; Mr. Keely, our interested sponsor. Among them for this year of 1961 are: the second Sweetheart Banquet, a Mother-Daughter Tea, a prize - winning float, a successful ice cream social, an inter- pretation of the Lord's Prayer at District III FHA Meet- ing, a Senior-Eighth Grader Tea, a day for washing car windows downtown, an active and amusing basketball game, starring the girls and their fathers, plus many other activ- ities and interesting programs.
