It is a member of the Junior ., Classical League which is affiliated with the 4 American Classical League, the National organ- ization which is devoted to the task of ac- quainting the modern world with the ancient Roman and Greek civilizations.This year's off- icers are Diana Herbert, president, David Whee- ler, Vice president, Clarice Collett, Secretary Shirley Mayfield, treasurer. The Club is spon- sored by Miss Stewart. 24

Some of the accomplishments of the group have been as follows: continuation of the activities with the platform established under the new constitution, affiliation with the National Association of Student Councils, a full year schedule of assembly programs, many all school parties and dances, the chartering of the Latin and Dramatics Club and the sponsoring of the yearbook. These made our Marion High School Student Governing Body under the able spon- sorship of Mrs. Price and Mr. Yaussi one of which our school can be justly proud. 23
