CLASS HISTDRV On Sept. 5, 1939, 21+ very young papooses entered the wigwam of learning. The most high chieftains were Miss Johnson and Miss Engler. Their little papooses were Dorothy Bowers, Donald Flahertg, Bobby Frank, Titus Klassen, Delmar Klocke, LeRoy Maltbie, Bob Perry, Geyna Phillips, Cynthia Peterson. Charlene Razor. Allen Skeikofsky, Dicky Summerville. Don Hill, Marie Johnson, LeRoy Roberts, Jeaneen Brose, Merle Brunner,Don Ecker. Edna Grimes. Don Hayen. Maurice Hollar, Cora McCarty, Roberta Newsom, Carol Ann Oblander, and Patsy Rittel. That year we gained Ieila Reed and Janice Heisner, and lost Don Flaherty. Bobby Frank, LeRoy Maltbis, Geyna Phillips, Cynthia Peterson, Charlene Razor, Dish Summer- ville. and Dorothy Bowers. During our second year we gained Ethel Hiebez-t,Donna Jean Epperson, Jack Anderson Joyce Marie Priess, and Gerald Winslow. We lost Allen Scheiskofslq. Delmar Klocke end Donna Jean Epperson. In the third and fourth grades we gained Earl Grimes, C.R. Monlton,lIilene Hansen, Dick Summerville. and Bill Herdon. While we were in the fifth grade Sally Sherrard, Dale Ecker, Kent Richmond, Carol Creek. Yelda Hedrick, Bobby Lee, Paul Madden. and Dolores Oyers Joined us. Carol Ann Oblander departed. We felt that we were at last growing up as we took the important step of entering Jr. High. Us now were classed as Braves. This year new classmates were Ora Klassen. Ernestine Good, and Tom Shields. We lost Joyce Priess. In the selenth grade we gained Donald Strong, Shirley Holt. Qzarles Muse. Carol Oblander and Wayne Kelsey. We lost Donald Strong, Shirley Holt. Titus Klassen, Ora Klassen. Bob Perry. Carol Creek. and Dick Summerville. In the eighth grade we gained Robert Skibbe, Phyllis Magathan, Jon Barrett, and Charles Strecker. and LeRoy Roberts. In September. 1947. forty small-sine warriors with war paint as green as their skin underneath. started their careers as students of Marion High. Our new classmates were, Marjory Collett, Bath Dunn, Mex Herzert, Bob Kline, Dorothy Markham, Don Reimer. Mildred Meredith, Marion Favrat, Katherine Penner, Doris Heredithdoward Bemmers,Ra.lph Richmond, Thresa Shroyer. Georgene Tajchlan and Jack Williams. We lest Sally Sherrard. Wayne Kelsey, Katherine Fenner. Don Reiner, and Thersa Shroyer. Daring our Sophlore year we gained Lsnra Jane Bredemeier, Dick Landes. Joyce Landry, Ursula leuwlrth, and Richard Schmidt. Joyce Londry. Our busiest year. when we were Juniors, bronyzt ns Charles Propp,Isle Mae Hiebert, and Charles Heerey. This year with Charles Propp as class president we presented a plsy 'The Daffy Dills' and gave a banquet centered around 'The Streets of Paris. We lost lilene Hansen.,and Joyce Londry We new are SENIORS, full-fledged Warriors. 6
