BOYS' BASKETBALL The Foxes were a leading con- tender in District 12 basketball play this year and suffered only three losses during regular season play. They entered the District Tourney and easily downed Green Sea in the opening round but were eliminated in a thrill-packed heartbreaker when Floyds downed them by a one-point margin, 44-43. The prospects for next year are bright with three starters returning tor another season ot play, and only tour men oft ot the squad graduating. GIRLS' BASKETBALL The Lassifoxes romped to another State Class B Girls Championship with little opposition except from their arch-rival, Mullins, who handed them their only defeat. The girls came back from the early season loss to Mullins and broke the tourna- ment jinx which has haunted them for several seasons in Aynor to take the district title. From there on the going got easier. Four of the starting State Champions will be missing next year-they are forwards Mar- garet lones and Betty Bose Foxworth and guards Esther Wayne Hewitt and Hazel Odom. The starting sextet for the championship Lassifoxes consisted of: Kneeling: Bertha Maye Drose, Guard: Margaret lones, Forward: lanet Ioyner, Forward.
