JUNIOR HGMEMAKERS GP AMERICA This year the Marion Chapter oi the lunior I-lomemakers of America completed their one-thousand-dollar camp contribution thereby entitling themselves to a cabin at the l. H. A. camp at Ocean Drive, named for their chapter. The local chapter is com- posed of sixty-nine members all ot whom either are taking or have taken Home Economics. These girls won second prize with their exhibit at the Marion County Fair. Bobbie lean Andrews serves as second vice-president of the district. She and Betty lo White were the delegates to Leadership weekend at Ocean Drive, and Phyllis Altman attended the State Convention. The Marion Chapter is to be congratulated on its activities and numerous accomplishments during the year ot l952-1953. FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA The Marion Chapter of the Future Farmers of America is composed of sixty-one members taken from those students who have taken or are taking vocational agriculture. The chapter is very active in both business and social activities. They sent delegates to the State Convention and a representative to the National Convention. They also plan to attend summer camp. During the month of February, the members entertained their fathers with the Annual Father-Son Banquet. STUDENT LIBRARIANS This organization was formed this year and is composed of six students, one for each six periods ot the day. They check library permits, put newspapers on racks, check books in and out, check magazines, help keep scrapbook up to date, and perform many more tasks. These students have been invaluable to Miss Moore clurina the year. 42
