Ae SCIENCE CLUB During l95Z-1953, under the leadership of Miss Ieanette Norman, the Marion High School Science Club was formed. lt is composed of sixteen members from the lunior and Senior classes who have an average oi 90 on all science courses they have taken. The aims of the club are to increase our knowledae of science, to qive service in our school, community, and nation, and to understand the importance of science in our lives. The club is affiliated with Science Clubs of America. The officers of the club are Robert Wall, Presidentg William Skipper, Vice-President, Ianet Ioyner, Secretary, Ioyce Drew, Treasurer, and Bertha Mae Drose, Club Reporter. 39

BLCCK CLUB The Block M Club is an athletic organization composed of students who have earned letters in any sport. To earn a letter, a student must have played in one-half the total number of quarters of any sport. Cheerleaders and managers automatically become members of the club and the coaches act as advisors. The goal of the club is to encourage all students to participate in at least one sport. OFFICERS. Cecil Snipes, Vice-President: Margaret Iones, Secretary-Treasurer: William Nettles, President. FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA The Marion Chapter of the Future Farmers of America is composed of sixty-one members taken from those students who have taken or are taking vocational agriculture. The chapter is very active in both business and social activities. They sent delegates to the State Convention and a representative to the National Convention. They also plan to attend summer camp. During the month of February, the members entertained their fathers with the Annual Father-Son Banquet. The officers are Alvin Newell, Presidentp Lonnie Leitner, Vice-President, Dan Folk, Secretary, Perry Rogers, Treasurer, Edward Powers, Sentinelg Larry Snipes, Reporterg Iohnny Hayes, Reporter. 40
