Bth grade planning night . . . career counseling . . .college appointments. . .the list goes on and on . . . he Senior Class proud y dedicates the 1986 Noiram to the man responsible for all of the above - Mr. Arthur Stone. Mr. Stone is a 1949 graduate of Ithaca College, where he earned his degree in physical education. He received his guidance certificate from Colgate nlversity. He spent his first years of teaching physical education in eorgetown, New Vork. Next, he moved on to Earlville, where he was a physical education teacher for five years and then guidance counselor. Mr. Stone then came to Marion in 1961 and has been here ever since. Mr. Stone, how can we adequately express the gratitude to you who have given twenty-five years of your life to our school, to our students, and to our futures? Perhaps the quotation hanging on the wall of your office captures the nature ol and the importance of the guidance you have offered al of us throughout the years: We owe the 'younger generation' what all 'older generations' have owed ounger genera- tions - love, protection to a point, and respect when they deserve it.
