HERBERT KOBLER MISS MAURINE BAKER ..............................Sponsors CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1948, as Freshmen, we thought of the grind ahead. Now we refer to the good ole days. Our first year we chose as our class officers: Tommy Johnston, President; Mary Donna Brush, Vice- President, and Gordon Hill, Secretary-Treasurer. Our sponsors were Miss Mildred Sanders and Mr. Clif- ton Storme. In Student Council we were represented by Ursula Fish, Herbert Schafale, Patty Kent, Marilyn Turner, Fannie Sims, and Scott Coffman. In the field of sports, our class was well represented. On the football team were Joe Adams, Don De Maris, James Gulley, Billy Joe Hubbard, Tommy Johnston, Jerry Turner, Bobby Whiting, Jack Richey, and Kenneth Snoddy. Our Basketball men were: Gene Baggett, Bennie Bruce, Willis Harris, Billy Joe Hubbard, Tommy Johnston, Moreton Shively, Robert Turner, Bobby Whiting and Don Wise. Our track squad included Billy Joe Hubbard, Bobby Whiting, Gene Baggett, Gary Eason, Vernell Burns, Jerry Turner, Gerald Ramsey, and Everett Christy. On the diamond we had Moreton Shively. Cheering the boys on to victory for all four years were Lois Jane Wilson and Marilyn Turner. (Continued on page 38)
