The Senior Class Next we were Iolly luniors and for our class officers we elected Barbara Boatright, president, Ramona Priest, vice-president, and Dorothea Workman, secretary and treasurer. This was our hardest year since it was our responsibility to sponsor the Prom and the lunior Play. Betty lo Green, Ann Harper, Graydon Hoover, Mar- ilyn Iohnson, Roberta Odum, and lim Staudacher were lunior representatives to Student Council. Betty Io also fulfilled the position as vice-president, along with Ro- berta who was secretary. , At Homecoming Betty lo was a queen attendant. On the annual staff were Betty Io Green, who was Ass't Editor, Marilyn lohnson, Ass't Class Editor, Bob Blue, Ass't Sports Editor, lim Staudacher, Ass't Adver- tising Manager and Ann Harper and Virginia Durham, committee workers. ln Again, Out Again was chosen as the Iunior Play. Members of the cast were Marilyn Iohnson, Ro- berta Odum, LaDonne Lane, Pat Robinson, lo Garrison, Dorothea Workman, Paul Miller, Clayal Hill, Robert Lee, Lawrence Hunter, and Betsy McClanahan. Rotary Day rolled around once again. Marilyn Iohn- son received the gold key and the silver key went to Betty lo Green. Pins were received by Barbara Boat- right, Delmar Hancock, Wayne Noe Hill, Roberta Odum, Frank Powell, Ramona Priest, lim Staudacher, and De- lores Strobel. As Seniors we elected Paul Miller president, Clayal Hill, vice-president, and Virginia Durham, secretary- treasurer. Class sponsors were Mrs. Smith and Miss Dunn. On the gridiron again were Sam Rinella, Robert Lee. Paul Miller, Clayal Hill, George Henderson, Bill Travel- stead, Theron Simmons, George Rogers, Steve Zimmer- man, and Bill Weir. At Homecoming the Senior Class held the spotlight as Betty Io Green became Queen. She was crowned by football captain, Bill Weir. Other escorts were co-cap- tain Paul Miller, Clayal Hill, Steve Zimmerman, and Bill Travelstead. All were seniors. Student Council representatives were Marilyn Iohn- son, Betty Io Green, lim Staudacher, Barbara Boatright, Graydon Hoover, and Roberta Odum. Marilyn was President and lim held the position of Commissioner of Finance. Betty lo Green was Editor of the Memory Kit. She was ably assisted by the following staff members. Bob Blue, Sports Editor, lim Staudacher, who headed the drive for subscriptions, and Marilyn Iohnson, Class Editor. On the baseball squad were Bill Randolph, Bill Weir, Paul Miller, Curtis Clendenin, George Henderson, and lim Staudacher. On the basketball floor were lack Connell, Richard Mazurek, Kenny Anderson, Bill Randolph, and Bill Weir. Running track we had Bob Lee, Steve Zimmerman, H. I... Sprtnghart, and George Rogers representing our class. As our high school days clcse, we look back on many happy and prosperous days. We started as shy freshmen and have come through the years until we are proud, well-informed seniors. We, the class of '49, are leaving behind our plans for the dream school. It is up to you, under classmen, to see our dreams be come realities.
