W. ft J On the gridiron once again we had Tremper, McNeil, McCabe, Iames, Miller, Minton, Grassinger, and Whiting as lettermen. Tom Morton was football manager and also track manager. Basketball lettermen were Hill, Buckner, Norman, and Dungey. Wilhite was manager. Running track we had Bill Polly Absher, Iohn Zim- merman, and Bill McCabe. Baseball lettermen were Bill Buckner, Marvin Fossie, Bob Gulledge, Date McNeil, Charlie Norman, Bob Russell, and Bill Strobel. Dean Gulledge and Shirley were again our cheerleaders. For the Iunior Play we chose The Milky Way . Mem- bers of the cast were Fred Tremper, Barbara Taylor, Carol Reichert, Tom Morton, Paul Maurer, Dale Adams, Art Sims, David Absher and Iohnnie Campbell. Once again Rotary awards were given and once again Carol Reichert was awarded the Gold Key. The Silver Key went to Art Sims and pins to: Donald Davenport. Carol Goddard, Pat Grassinger, Trevor Wilhite, lim Travel stead, Velma Rose, Betty lean Wheeler, and Dorothy Mc- Nail. For our Senior officers we elected Pat Grassinger. President: Bill Buckner, Vice-Presidentp Iohn Campbell, Secretary-Treasurer. Once again we were honored by having the Home- coming Queen elected from our class. Io Ann Swan was our First Lady with Dean Gulledge as attendant. Holding offices in Student Council were: Sue Carter. President, Art Sims, Commissioner of Finance: Carol Reich- ert, Commissioner of Entertaiment: and Paul Maurer, Com- missioner of Public Relations. Carol Reichert edited our annual. Carol Goddard was Feature Editorp Sue Carter, Class Editorg fohn Campbell, Sports Editorp and Paul Maurer, Subscription Manager. The Student was edited by lohnnie Campbell, ase sisted by Sue Carter. Velma Rose was Feature Editor: Paul Maurer, Sports Editorg Carolyn Collier, Columnistp Bob Copeland, Manager, assisted by Eddie Miller, Gloria Sul- livan, Circulationg Barbara Taylor, Distributiong and Shir- ley Broadway, Art Editor. Representing us on Edward's Field were Pat Grassinger, Bill James, Kenneth Kendall, Eddie Miller, Bill McCabe, Date McNeil, Fred Tremper, and Bill Whiting, all of whom were lettermen. History repeated itself again when our basketball team again led us to State. Lettermen for our class were Floyd Hill, Charlie Norman, and Bill Buckner. Campus Quarantine was chosen as our Senior Play. ln it Were: Velma Rose, Shirley Broadwas, Ioan Mattox, Carolyn Collier, Carol Reichert, Aletha Gulley, Scott Mal- roy, Paul Maurer, Tom Morton, Bradley Motsinger, lim Travelstead, and Arthur Sims. Becoming Sophisticated Seniors had been our chief aim for three long years. Realizing that we were on the top stair of that long flight made us stop and lcok back at all the fun that We had. Things such as the Home- coming dances, the Hop, the Prom, the mean kid in cne's Sociology Class, or the dumb bunny in English, the as- sembly programs, plays, being on the carpet in the of- fice, initiation week, club parties, football games, State tournaments, and many other activities that will some day make us look back and say Those were the good ole' days! ..26....
