Obviously, the doubt which arises has its origin in a lack of faith in the future, but we must look be- yond the horizon toward a better future, that goal for which the millions in the armies of the democracies are fighting today. The nood for trained mon and women if vital to the future, is even more urgent today. In so many departments of government, and in so many fields of industry our potential power is retarded by a lack of trained norsonnol. If ovcry effort is to bo directed to- ward winning the wnr, then let the schools, the students and the teachers do their part. New is the time for our schools to bccome bcttor .schools the time for tcndr ers to become better teachers, and tho time for our stud- onts to become better students.
