3' SEM MEMORIES It was Just four years ago that we the Class of 59 frrst came through the doors of Manon l-hgh as Freshmen Now as we hear the doors close behrnd us for the last trme as students we look back on the many accom plrshments and the unforgettable experiences that we shared here Before entering the new world outside let us remmrsce with you now as we reserve thrs page to record our fond memones As Freshmen our class took part m athletics forensrcs drama and music In the fall we won third place for our Homecomrng float Expecting a Victory This was the beginning of a progressive class In our second year we were all determmed to do our best On September 27 our clas float Hold That Line was awarded frrst place Our athletic boys were helped along with enthusiastic cheers led by Karen Much on the A team and Sharon Wegner to the distnct contest at Stevens Point That year Karen Radies recelved the Citizen shrp Award As Juniors we showed progress and success We again won first place on our float Trme For Vrctory in the Homecoming Parade Karen Radres yoined Karen Much on the A squad rn leading the school spint to support our great athletes Our class play Pamt the Town Pink was a dramatrc experrence John Norris participated in the one act play A Srmny Momrng In Aprrl Ken Raether was elected Prom Krng he chose Sandra Draheim as hrs Queen Together they reigned rn a beautrfully decorated gym with the theme Around the World Kay Fuchs Karen Fischer Karen Niemuth and Lavonne Krubsack were chosen for the Natronal Honor Society Kay Fuchs was selected to go to Badger Girls' State and Robert Malueg and Jerry Keller were sent to Badger Boys State In the sprmg Robert Malueg was elected Student Councrl presrdent Our fourth and fmal year stood before us For the thrrd tune we recerved frrst place for our Homecomrng float Our Subs Did This Watch Our Varsrty Karen Much and Robert Malueg reigned over Homecommg fest1v1t1es The theme All In the Game was expressed beautrfully by the decorations Karen Radres and Karen Much were stlll leadrng the cheers in support of our athletes who were domg a fme yob In October the Musrc Department under the drrectzron of Mr Klrmko presented the Mrkado lt was very succesful Four of our class members had prrncipal parts They were Kar leen Polk, Lavonne Krubsack, Kay Fuchs, and John Norrrs. Stanley Riska participated rn the one-act play, Whrte Dove. Kay Fuchs was selected by the faculty for the D. A.R. Award. The TOP TEN STUDENTS were: Kay Fuchs, Nancy Wegper, Diane Moerrcke, hols Mocrne, Betty Lohrentz, Karen Frscher, Karen Niemuth, Lavonne Krub- sack, Joan Sprenger, and Anne Solberg. Now as we are about to face the changrng world, we wrll be brave and courageous, 'For Onward We Go, God Is Our Gurde.
