As we danced beneath si: x' ,L HOMECOMING COURT Clem Shauger Kendall Raether Lee Bazile Ernest Pevonka Queen Karen Much King Robert Malueg Karen Niemuth Sandra Parser Karen Radies Sharon Adams A HAPPY COUPLE The Marion High School 1958 Home coming opened on Thursday evening October 9 The students led by the band marched to the Athletic Field for the tradi tional bonfire Mr Gifford Solem acted as Master of Ceremonies and introduced the queen the king and the court Speakers were Mr Pieper Mr Highdutis Mr Klimko Mr Anderson and Coach Gilbert The latter announced that Clem Shauger had been chosen Captain for Il game but due to Clem s injuries Bob Malueg would be Captain in his place On Friday we held our Homecoming Parade The Seniors won first place for their float the Sophomore second the Juniors third The highlight of Homecoming was the football game in the evening Our team because of inexperience suffered defeat at the hands of Wittenberg 12-0 Its All in the Game was the theme of the Homecoming dance which was held in the gymnasium. At 11:00 p. m.
