For reviewing the basic fundamentals of arithmetic,Math I is available. Algebra I and Algebra II courses cover Algebra thoroughly. One of Mrs. Davis' algebra classes is shownbelow. If a student desires to gain a more complete knowledge of algebra before entering college, he or she may take the College Algebra Course. This enables the student to progress more with the work in this field while in college. To make the Department complete both Plane and Solid Geometry are offered. Any student leaving M.I-LS., if he or she has taken advantage of what the Department has to offer, will have one of the best math backgrounds possible. Here we are! Sophomores! The time has just flown by. This year we have been taught that we will have a much greater influence on this country than any generation ever has. Most of us are beginning to realize what school really means. Many of us are outstanding students or athletes. We are CLASS OFFICERS thankful forlast year when our teachers put us on the right track for success. If we don't make it, it will be our own fault. With all of our parties and other fun we have had, our year was very successful. We all believe that the class of 64 will rank among the most outstanding that has ever attended Marion High. 73 F . August 25, 1961. ..The day we had all looked forward to for so long had finally come. Courageously we entered Marion High School, fully aware of our plight. After a few days, much to our distress,we realized how little we knew and how much we had to learn. However, aided by the helping hands of all our te ac hers and upperclassmen, we becarne accustomed to the daily routine and found high school much more enjoyable than we had expected. We are now looking toward the future with the anticipation of working harder scholastically and yet finding the next three years as rewarding as the first one. 77 K A, ,..4 0-.
