In Memoriam MR. JOSEPH L. NOYES - Gone away is a loyal friend of Marion High School, a supporter upon whom we often leaned for financial backing as well as the boosting of our morale. Mr. Noyes was never too busy to help a boy wina scholarship nor to have a word of Commendation for one who had worked or played hard and well. A keen sense of humor, a great faith in young people, a burning desire for progress characterized his chairmanship of the Marion School Board. To live in the hearts one leaves behind is not to die. 4
