Twitty. v Miss Helen Smarr Mr. Hugh Beam Since this is an anniversary edition, we reproduce here the dedication of the 1940 Hylander to Mr. Beam: During his years with Marion Schools he has won the love and respect of the entire student body. He is willing to listen to our problems, and then he tries to help us solve them. It is through his service and leadership that we have re- ceived encouragement to go forward. Administration Too few of the students at Marion HighSchool realize the great responsibilities and problems which face Mr. El- ledge and Mrs. Pyatt. Ful- filling the duties of principal and secretary of a high school is only a small part of their big job. Together, their jobs in- clude: truant officer, janitor, doctor, banker, chauffeur, and - orator.
