LAXVRI-NCI-. Foremost in the minds of the up-to-date, interested citizens are the latest develop- ments of jet planes and atom bombs. Foremost in the minds of Marion High School is the Senior Class of 1950. Being the first post-war class, we, like the atom bomb, held a decided advantage, and like these latest inventions, we set our pace in 1949 when we, as green, eager eighth graders, entered into what was to be five full, happy years as high school students. This fast-moving atomic-age class has held its own in the way of heroes, honor students, star athletes and all around good sports. Honors too numerous to mention have been ours through these years and now, we are ready to take these, our only effects, out into our own individual worlds. During 1949 and 1950, we eighty-four, seniors all, worked through our final year at Marion High under the able leadership of Alvin Rader, Becky Hemphill, Glynn Lambeth, and jack XY'ingo, our class officersg and other leading scholars. NY'e solemnly trust that we leave this school, not as we found it, but all the better for our efforts. XY'e find that the school bids us farewell, not as it found us, but much the wiserg much the better prepared for our lives aheadg and very grateful for all it has meant to us. XVe shall never forget, nor ever for one single moment regret this time we spent in our Alma Mater, Marion High School.
