Seniors first, a concert by Black Oak Arkansas, unsupervised senior study halls, and the privelege of living in a democratic society made us realize that freedom must be earned. Hard work, countless tears, and painstaking toil were necessary to sow the seeds of liberty, but co-operation, alliance, and trust were even more important to the continuation of these freedoms. Though we complained of the restrictions imposed upon us, deep inside we knew that we were truly lucky. In the Sophomore assembly, Judge Hoge presents Mike Phares with a license to operate his wheels. As the first Senior class to receive their rings during the Junior year, Barbara Parks purchases her beauty with immense pride. At a table of their own, teachers discuss the trials and tribulations of their profession. ' Assembly is dismissed. Seniors first! ' 29
