C. I.. STAFFORD, who teaches psychology and narcotics at MHS. He received his A.li. and B.S. degrees from Marion College and his M.S. degree from Indiana University. Mr. Stafford is also co-sponsor of the Science Club. Wfhat are the conditions of air flight? These are the subjects which are discussed in the aeronautics classes at Marion High School. The branch of science which deals with the material world and its phenomena is physics. The classes in physics offer an opportunity to learn the science through demonstrations, labora atory work, and class discussions. Collecting guns and coins and hunting are Mr. 'l'ultle's hobbies. MR. Al.lSliR'l' l. CHAPMAN JR. teaches chemistry al M HS. He received his bachelor of arts and bache- lor ot' science degrees from Marion College and his master ol' arts degree from Ball Stale 'leathers College. Mr. K1hapu1an's hobbies are reading. hiking, and listening to choral music. These classes help to prepare the students for careers in any one of many scientific fields. The interest in the class is accented by discussions, demonstra- tions, and experiments which the science stu- dents themselves perform. BONES. BONI-QS, BONES - Sondra Rinehart. Donna Bryant, and john XVeber examine closelv their friend, john. Dissecting frogs, worms, and grasshoppers, collecting leaves, and observing live animals in their natural habitat are some of the unusual activities ol' the biology classes at Marion High School. The course offers an opportunity for the students to learn something about the plants and animals ill the world around them and, also, something about themselves.
