dem, ' Opening the 1958 Easter Parade with a flourish and a roll of drums, the Color Guard marched into the arena. It was followed by Her Majesty's Honor Guard, dressed in black capes and carrying sabers. Presented in full-length pastel formals were the members of Her Majesty's Court. The Court included the senior princesses, the sopho- more attendants, the junior attendants, the flower girls, and the crown bearer. At last came Her Majesty, Miss Connie Scott. She was crowned Queen of the 1958 Easter Parade by Marion High Schoo1's prin- cipal, Mr. john Hougland. Queen Connie as- cended to the throne while the band played and the chorus sang the traditional Easter Parade. BARBARA WILLIAMSON SENIOR PRINCESS l KAREN FRANTZ SENIOR PRINCESS Giving children from six to sixty a taste of a good old-fashioned circus was the 1958 Easter Parade. Giant posters of Leo, the lion, the Human Torch, the Strong Man, and the Magician gave Memorial Coliseum an atmosphere of the Big Top, Clowns smiled, cried, and carried on their traditional antics to amuse the audience. The mood of the crowd was changed several times by the diHerent styles of music and dance presented by the chorus, therband, and the various acts. Providing entertainment for students of Marion High School was a dance after the Parade. x.
