Convocations and activities are the icing on the cake which makes school lile more interest- ing and rounds out the day. ln the days between September and Vlune, students' days were Filled with the many school functions typical ol a large and growing school. Special convocations were no small part ol' the average M.H.S. student's lile. They enriched his outlook, entertained him, and taught him more ahout the world in which he lives. Students took time out lrom academic studies and lrom convocations to participate in many all-school activities as well as in organiyations. Dancing to rock and roll at record hops, dec' orating the school lor special occasions, posing lor Cllf'fIl.S' pictures, and many other activities helped each student grow mentally and emotion- ally mature. Activities were somewhat disrupted when a portion ol' the student hotly was ill with the llu. but enough students remained to carry on the school lile.
