Martin Boots building prmidc-d classroom space aller the tornado Business and vocational classes niet in the YMCA building during llie einergency Of Educational Facilities NVhen this year's Cactus first began to materialize, we did not realize that our routine would be coin- pletely changed: and that the student body, faculty, and administration would suddenly be put to its greatest test. We learned in March that Marion High was not a physical plant. If it had been, it would have blown out with the tornado. We learned that wherever class was held, we were still the real Marion High. Through cooperation and help from Marion citi- zens, Marion High resumed classes on March 15. Our school came to include a campus with classes being held at Martin Boots, the Y.Nl.C.1-X., and the Hostess House. ' As we go to press, it is still doubtful that our Nelson Street building will be used before next year. Whether or not we return to the building, the educational pro- gram will continue. Maybe we have become stronger lroin the tornado: for whatever the situation, it is now evident that Marion High is ready to face it. ABLE OF CONTENTS Introduction .a... Faculty ..
