MP FQ dx X J E , 'Q,...a cacrrrrs ms SENIOR CLASS HRH HEARS At O a group of sophomores just a lrttle abashed and wrde tyed tntcrcd the portals of Marron I-lrgh School fresh from the crty s two junror hrgh schools McCulloch and Martrn Boots ready to take up therr work as new members of Marron Hrgh An eventful three years lay ahead of these eager students Years filled wrth gare ty hours of study and pleasant com panronshrp with the faculty Durrng the sophomore year of the class Wrllram Osburn drrected actrvr tres as presrdent Successor to Osburn was John Rhorer who led the class through a most successful Junror year On October 13 1933 the class met rn the audrtorrum and cast bal lots for therr senror officers Electron followed one of the most sprrrted electron campargns rn years Revrval of the poster rdea for candrdatcs met wrde spread favor and for several days precedrng the electron date the school was covered wrth pleas for votes The electron commrttee was composed of James Sloan charrman Mrldred Stephens Max Long Betty Wrlson and Byrl Eltzroth In the electron Wrllram Osburn was named presrdent of hrs class for the second trme rn three years Robert Starrett was named vrce presrdent Lors Jean R E George A Mrlls Jr treasurer A ready sprrrt of co operatron always characterized the work of thrs senror class More outstandrng possibly than therr other accomplrshments was therr work on the Cactus Frolrc held on Aprrl 20 of thrs year When frnancral drflicultres faced the annual the senror cla s Joined wrth the two other classes rn sponsorrng thrs most successful all school party at Memorral Colrseum The senror actrvrtres commrttee appornted late rn Aprrl to plan for Senror Week Baccalaureate and Commencement was composed of Max Long charr man Betty Ann Jones lours Drxon Margaret Booth and Mrldred Stephens Thrs group had charge of plans for the annual prcnrc the annual Senror Day program and the other actrvrtres of Senror Week Ont of the outstandrng senror actrvrtres and one that led all other class partres was the Senror Hop held at Memorral Colrseum early rn November The general commrttee that headed the party arrangements was Byrl Eltzroth charr man Robert Starrett Lors Jean Watson Max Long and John Rhorer Later rn the year the class held a party at the Amerrcan Legron hall Musrc for the occassron was furnrshed by Phrl Coomer s orchestra Mary Krmes Mary Ellen Wrnslow and John Rhorer composed the commrttee rn charge 2 2 ' .
