CITY PREDICTED F OR T HINCLADS All signs indicated that this was to be the year for Coach Graves' Red Devil track squad. With as much talent returning as any team in the city a repeat of the 1971 City League track title was expected. Richard Byrd returned to long jump and run the hurdles, Kevin Woods was expected to help the relay learns and Larry Williams, one of M-F's few triple sport stars, was seeking 12 feet in the polevault and 55 feet in the shot. Wayne Hagwood returned to challenge state marks in the 100 and 200 yard dashes. A multi-talented Ho- race Brown competed in the jumps and dashes. Others who made significant point contributions were Gene Hunter, Darryl Turnbo, Marvin Bibb, Caffrey Griffin, Terry Cornett and Mike Fleming.
