ln these days of Women's Liberation and equal rights, Red Devil girls under the leadership of Miss Danise White are realizing great strides in the direction of girls' athletics. Through the course of her physical education classes, Miss White has stressed physical fitness and participation. As a result of it all, Marion-Franklin has emerged with competitive inter-scholastic fe- male basketball and tennis teams. Competing with other area high schools these young ladies learn not only the rules and skills of the events but also the thrill of victory and the sting of defeat. In the future, if indications are right, female athletic teams in gymnastics, softball, and track will be formed. 79
