It is a branch of the national organization, OEA, or Office Education Association. The purpose of TOECXOEA is to prepare today's young people for our modern business world. TOECXOEA recommends a wide variety of activities . . . services, social, and fund- raising. This way, the members do not lose their enthusiasm. TOEC members participate in contests in the spring on the regional, state and na- tional levels. This year eleven M.C.H.S. TOEC students competed. They were: Sherri Pittman - Iob Interview, Kelly Marvin - Accounting Ig Kim Searcy - Typing and Related II: Amy Weeks, Gay Carson, Anita lackson, Barbara Dillard, Gail Parker, Kristy Iordan, Nicole Haynes and Abby Harris - Parlimentary Pro- cedure. The Parlimentary Team was awarded a first place which enabled them to advance to the state competition, where they were awarded a second place allow- ing them to advance to the nationals in Houston, Texas.
