PRINCIPALS MESSAGE CONGRATULATIONS, GRADUATES OF 1961! As you leave Marion County High School, you are attaining one of the goals of your life. Broader fields of learning and service are opening to you. You are now facing experiences which will test you. physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is my fer- vent hope that you have discovered in your four years here something of the true mean- ing of life. In your interpretation of life, I wonder if you have formed some of these conclusions: 1. That life offers genuine rewards to those who merit them. 2. That habits of thrift and sobriety are important assets. 3. That real nobility of life calls for true gentility of character. 4. That every individual needs divine aid to bring his life to full fruition. It is my hope that your life will incorporate all of these and that you will enjoy the richness of life which these make possible.
