Dear Ruth , a fast moving comedy, was presented this year by the Iunior Class as their annual class play. Miriam, Ruth's sister, had been sending letters to service men and sign- ing Ruth's name to them. As an added incen- tive she had also been sending Ruth's picture along. One of these service men happened to re- ceive a leave and decided to come and visit Ruth. As the play opened, Ruth is surprised by the visit of a man she had never seen be- fore in her life. However, she decided not to spoil his leave, so she played along with the act. She wound up by throwing over her boy friend, Albert, for the soldier with whom she had fallen in love. In a confusing, quick, last act, Ruth married her new love and left for Florida with him, where he was to report for his duty assignment. , The excellent choice of the play and the fine acting and production created by Miss luster, Director, and Emelyn Sappington, As- sistant Director, left little to be desired for a full evening's entertainment. After one of her hilarious escapades, Miriam is inter- rogated by her sister, Ruth, and her mother. Albert, not used to such goings on, watched bewilderedly. Lt. Seawright mich Petersonl is introduced to the Wilkens Gloger Gucwa and Alyce Topell by Ruth Uoan Grabyl even though she doesn't really know the man herself. Ruth, and Mr. 6 Mrs. Wilkins look over the house plans of Albert may Hilll. who plans to marry Ruth and build the house outlined in the plans. ' Richard Peterson, Barbara Nelson, Ed Lang, and Ioan Graby, pose for a picture at the final dress rehearsal preceding opening night.

The Senior Class Play was produc- SENIOR CLASS PRESENTS HKISS AND TELL ed earlier this year than ever before. Even though the cast had a shorter time to practice, the usual fine acting and humorous entertainment reigned over the performance. Kiss and Tell , a fast moving, hil- arious play, was the story of Corliss Archer, a girl of fifteen. In trying to appear as old as her girl iriend, Mil- dred, she gets into more jams than it seems possible to get out of, in three acts. However in the end all comes out well. Miss Schloerb picked this play not only for the wonderful story but also to show the people of the community how vicious gossip can really injure the fine reputation of a person or family. It was her aim that after the play the audience would leave the auditorium a little rich- er morally as well as having been en- tertained. we wi-. QOXQXX X?-QK9 0? ve?
