Allen Felch. running in his usual form. reeled off 241 yards, and accounted for three of the Marines' touchdowns to lead the team to victory. Paul Christopherson, Allen Felch. and John Arendt, accounted for the Marines' touchdowns. The outstanding play of the game came when John Arendt. Marine captain, picked up Strem's blocked punt and ran for a touchdown. Rhinelandeids big fault was not completing passes which easily could have been touchdowns. The Paulson brothers of the Rhinelander squad were standouts throughout the game. Whiting By a score of 19-7, our mighty gridiron squad defeated Whiting on the losers' home field. Jim Strem's long pass to Paul Christopherson was the highlight of the game. The pass was thrown 56 yards. and the entire play was good for 90 yards result- ing in a touchdown by Chistopherson. At the half. the score stood 7-0 in favor of Marinette. Tom Brenkus ran the opening kick-off of the second half back 90 yards to score. This was Whiting's only touchdown.
