This is Mr. ComeauX's first year at Marinette High School. He received his B. S. degree from Oshkosh State Teachers College. The future stars of Marinette were given their basic training this year by Coaches Harmon, Brockman, Comeaux, and Krumheuer. These heroes-to-be, known as the color squads. could be seen daily going through the fundamentals and intra-squad scrimmages. Several preliminary exhibitions before the varsity games were staged by the color squads. Judging from the football displayed on those occasions, the fans should have no fears as to the fate of the Marines! B A 1'Cl0lll6lflO1ll K June 5 saw the Class of '50, com- posed of some 153 young people. awaiting the presentation of their diplomas at the Graduation exercises held at the Lauerman Athletic Field. Emotions were varied as the realiza- tion that it was all over dawned on most of the graduates. Some of course. were elated with the thought of being away from faculty supervisiong others could he seen with tears brimming over, as they thought of the many. many good times they had enjoyed and which now were more vivid than ever because they were past and never could be relived. And so with diplom- as in hand, another class was gone. and would soon be taking its place in the outside world.
