Mr. Bennett is a nationally known commencement speaker. Principal IJ S. S. McNelly introduced the graduating class of one hundred and fifty-seven. Q 3 The diplomas were awarded to the students by Mr. H. V. Higley, representative of the Board of Education. Martha Hershey delivered tl1e salutatory address and Janet Hue the valedictory. The Kiwanis and American Legion awards were , presented by representatives of each organization. The superintendent of schools, Mr. George E. Denman, presented the faculty award. l HCAPTAIN APPLEJACKH-SENIOR CLASS PLAY Ambrose Applejohn seeking adventure soon has his passion fulfilled when one evening he is visited by four unusual callers--a Russian dancer, an oriental seer and his wife, and a Bolshevik spy. To add to the mystery he finds a parchment disclosing a pirate's treasure chart. Falling asleep he dreams he is a pirate, but when he wakens, l1e finds himself in a real adventure quite as exciting and picturesque as anything he has eve1' hoped for.
