PRESIDENT Roy Kaufman, president of the Senior Vlass, has the distinct honor ot being' president of his class in his Junior and Senior years. Ilis smile and winning personality have gained for him scores of friends. Ile has been lauded for l1is athletic ability, participating in football and basketball.for three years, My e,ffeWij5,Ma f We WW I Wil My 1 v1cn-rans11naN'r N ' of ' l'arl lVIag'nuson was elected vice-president of the Senior Class at its first meeting. Like Roy, he has been a member of the bas- ketball team. SEt'RETARY-TREASURER As secretary-treasurer of their class, the Seniors chose Lucille Ilansen. YVhen things have seemed dull,'l she has been ready to brighten matters up. She is an active member of the G. A. A. SENIOR CLASS MEETINGS The first Senior class meeting of the year was held to elect officers. Because no one received a majority for president. and so many other matters were discussed, it was necessary to hold another meeting. At this time all the officers were elected. In March the Senior girls convened to decide on what sort of dresses should be worn for the Iiacealaureate services and Commencement. After a close race, semi-formals won over sport dresses for the Baccalaureate services and sport clothes for tl1e graduation exercises. It was necessary for the boys to call two meetings to determine whether all white linen suits or dark blue coats and white trousers should deck the males. The latter received a majority. Entire dark suits were worn for Baccalaureate. A committee was chosen by Roy Kaufman, president, to select various mottos, class flowers, and colors. The committee's selection was presented to tilt' class at a meeting: in early April. Suggestions were also ot't'ered from the floor. The grardenia was chosen as the class flower with blue and silver as the colors. Motto: NVIIOII you are pulling, you cannot kick. 17
