MOU TED DE TACHMEN T The Mounted Detachment, under the supervision of Lin- da McLaughlin, learns the basics of horsemanship from the ground-up, and that means cleaning stalls, learning to care and handle horses, and to care for tack. The riding is only a small part of their daily activity. They ride in street parades. local horse shows in the Valley and in parades put on by the Corps of Cadets. With 20 horses to take care of, it is as much work as play. They do all of their own construction and maintenance work. This includes repairing stalls and fences. It would not be fair to mention the Mounted Detachment without a special 'Thanks' to Mr. Jack Gross for all of his help and assistance in making the Detachment the sucess it ls. DIC Istflt.
