DRILL IN STRUCTORS When cadets think of MMA, they usually remember their Drill Instructor, who reflects. more than anyone else, the Marine Corps style of living emphasized in the Academy. ln fact, MMA wouldn't be MMA if there weren't a gravel-voiced DI or two sounding off, ''Alllll-lllllll-riggghhhttt,'' mister, hit the deck and give-me-tennn! As some cadets can testify, the DI can see through walls, has the tenacity of a bulldog and the hide of an alligator, bellows like a foghorn, owns ears like radar antennas, possesses a glance that shrivels, is held erect with a steel ramrod, and inside his breast pumps acid through a heart of a gentle lion. Yes, you'll always remember your DI. Maybe you didn't like him much, but you sure respected him! - it TQ, .xx wa rgi Qs? tl.
