The Drill Team N r---if-'sri' 'N L , The Drill Team has represented the Academy well this year. Besides participating in many parades, they took honors in drill competitions throughout Texas. The highlight of the year was an appearance before national television on the Tonight show in early April. The same week the cadets performed for many Marines, including the Commandant of the Marine Corps, at the annual Leatherneck Ball in New York City. The team instructor is First Sergeant Robert E. Lacourse and Cadet Second Lieutenant H. W. Card commands the unit.

Cadets also get their weekly haircuts here. In addition, the building houses the offices of the Commandant of Cadets and the Assistant Commandant of Cadets. I . 'wr Our seamstresses, Mrs. Lopez and Mrs. Leal, give cadets quick and reliable service. Dave Phippeny and his wife Nancy are the Academy barbers. Here Dave cuts Cadet Mims' hair.
