Department Staff Sgt. Major W. E. Steigerwald, USMC QRetJ Sgt. Major Steigerwald is a native of Kentucky. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943, served in the Pacific in WW II, and Korea, retiring in 1967 after 24V2 years of service. Sgt. Major Steigerwald established the MCJROTC program in 1967 at Catholic High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He joined the Academy staff in 1969. Administrative Assistant Night Drill Instructor g. fiwvai F A N 5 1 6 J 1 ag .. Q -. GySgt. N. Juarez, USMC CRetJ GySgt. Juarez joined the Academy staff in 1966 after 14 years of service in the Marine Corps. GySgt. Juarez resides in 'Gary Hall and is readily available to cadets for assist- ance and emergencies. 67

Commandant of Cadets , Major H. Austin, USMC fRetj Major Austin, a native of Florida enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943. He retired in 1966 after combat duty in the Pacific and in Korea. He joined the Academy as Assistant Commandant of Cadets and Assistant Comptroller in 1966. 66 The Military Colonel D. M. Beck, USMC CRetj Colonel Beck is originally from South Dakota and entered the Marine Corps upon graduation from the University of South Dakota, He saw combat in the Pacific in WW Il, spent two years in China and has served in staff and command positions. He re- tired in 1968 and joined the Academy. Assistant Commandant of Cadets

Medical Staff HMIC Richard Anderson, USN fRetj Mrs. Herman C. Bruton M4 Doc Anderson is originally from Texas. He joined the Mrs. Bruton is a Registered Nurse. She resides in Mcll Navy in 1944 and served as a hospital corpsman. HQ is a henny Hall and is always available to give medical assist veteran of combat in many areas.
