The English language is one of t he toughest languages to learn. There are so many irregularities that it is hard to keep them all straight. In Mr. Cavis’s and Mr. Archer ' s Literature and Composition classes, students spend part of the year going over grammar rules. Some people think that it is difficult to grasp grammar, but when taking an English class these rules seem to become clearer and make more sense. Mr. Harvey’s Advanced Literature and Advanced Composition class encourages students in the area of reading and writing. There is a solution for the students who don’t like English and difficult reading and writing, and that is Mr. Pavlov’s drama class. This class gives students a chance to express theirselves and their ideas. Students get their chance to be a part of their own school play. Mr. Pavlov also shows his students how to do pantomines. His favorite is his Rubber Ducky act. M.C.H.S. has a large variety of English classes, so that most of the students can get interested in one of these courses.
