The large number of people involved In e Marine City sporting event may ' deceive you. The coaches prepare end train the athletes to improve their skills. During practices, friends are made within each squad. Parent ' s encouragement helps to build the confidence of their sons or daughters. The students themselves must have the determination and ckive to work. Allot these people make sports at Marine City a worthwhile effort Top: left to right 1. Seniors yell out their victory cry at the assembly. They lead the classes in the exciting race for the spirit jug. 2. Craig Berry gives Scott Clemons and 9 Bruce Eschenburg a few pointers about the game of golf. 3. On their way to another cross country meet are Jeff Mabry and Tom Lozowski. 4 The Varsity gels stop for a quick pep talk. Bottom: left to right 5. Dank Jones proudly escorts his mother across the field on Parents day. 6. Bob Parvell gets psyched up for another game 7. Jim St. James (65), Mike Ingles (46), Ed Ward (76), Dave Bouiier, and Sam Beckett an nady to kill their opponents for homecoming.

Rick Minor makes this pass count with a touchdown against Marysville. 7. The victorious varsity team heads for the showers after another win. At first the students at M.C.H.S. thought it was an illusion but they really did it It took long hours of practice and plenty of teamwork and determination but this years football season ended with one of the best records in over fifteen years. It seemed as though they couldn’t be beat. One of the high points of the season was leaving Marysville stunned with a 38-14 loss. Even if the Orange Crush didn’t end up with the S.C.A.L. title, they played an excellent season of football. Top: left to right
