. . . and Forensics Forensics class is composed of two parts. The first semester is devoted to debate. This year our team finished in second place in the Blue Water Forensics League. The Varsity Debaters are Dan Giardina, Robert MacDonald, Kay Connors, and Sandra Williams. Orations, declamations, extemporaneous speaking, and humorous and interpretive readings comprise the second semester. Rest and relaxation’ Kay, read louder! Miss Brown Languages . . . The language department consists of two basic sections: English and Spanish. The English classes are English 9, English 10, English 11, and English 12. The English teachers are Miss Brown, Miss Cawrse, Mr. Plummer, and Mr. Reed. There are two Spanish classes, Spanish I and Spanish II, which are taught by Mr. Chamberlain. After two years of Spanish, a student will be able to read and speak Spanish. Ninth graders study hard. Doesn ' t anyone know? Tenth grade students at work. 10

Today’s News . . . Social Studies Social Studies classes are government, U. S. history, world history, and civics. The classes are taught by Mr. Davidson, Mr. Schankin, and Mr. Chamberlain. Government, which is required of all Seniors, is a study of American govern- ment on the national and local levels. U. S. history, required of all Juniors, is the history of our country from colonial to modern times. World history is the history of the world since its beginning. Civics is a general government course. Who was King Tut? Where are the jokes? Interesting?? 12
